About this archive
Cook Brazil exists to record Brazilian home cooking properly — before it is flattened into a list of ingredients and a timer.
How recipes are written
Every recipe here is written in metric first, with quantities rather than vague handfuls, and gives a real preparation time, cooking time and yield. Where a dish is regional, the page says which region it comes from, because "the Brazilian way" is usually several different ways.
What is finished and what is not
The catalogue behind this archive is 101 recipes across 6 courses. Only the recipes that are written out in full appear here; the rest are not linked, not stubbed, and not in the sitemap until they have been cooked and checked. We would rather publish forty honest recipes than a hundred thin ones.
Corrections
If you cooked something here and found it wrong, that matters more than anything else on the site. Regional variants are real and a single version is never the only version.
